Two autonomous colleges, Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics and Mithibai College of Arts, Chauhan Institute of Science and Amrutben Jivanlal College of Commerce and Economics offered admission through CUET UG last year.
However, they opted out of CUET as the schedule of the national-level UG entrance exam does not align with the time table followed by the Mumbai colleges, the Times of India reported. CUET UG 2024 exam is scheduled to be held between May 15 to May 31.
Somaiya Vidyavihar University, a private university, which announced to offer admission through CUET UG, filled 90% of the seats through direct admission by considering the Class 12 board exam marks before the CUET results were announced, the report said. Only a few eligible candidates were offered admission through the common university entrance test.
However, this year Somaiya Vidyavihar University may fill seats based on CUET score as it is expecting the results to be declared early compared to the previous year, the report added.
In a latest notice, Mithibai college informed that admission to 13 UG courses will be offered based on Class 12 marks only. The first-year degree programmes are given below.
