The CUET 2025 exam has been postponed and the revised schedule for the exam will be announced soon on the official website, cuet.nta.nic.in. Earlier, the NTA had scheduled the CUET UG exam to begin on May 8. However, the CUET exam city intimation slip, which was supposed to be issued at least 10 days prior to the exam date, has not yet been uploaded on the official website.
Frustrated by the delay and confusion, several students took to social media to demand clarity on the CUET exam. The report comes just two days before the originally scheduled CUET UG 2025 exam date. As of now, the NTA has not issued an official confirmation regarding the postponement.
CUET UG is a national-level entrance exam for admission to undergraduate programmes in central, state, and other participating universities across India. Introduced in 2022, it soon became the second largest entrance exam in India, after NEET UG. Any delay in the CUET exam schedule will have an impact on the UG admission timelines and academic calendar of universities and colleges offering UG courses.
Notably, the NTA started the registration process for the exam on March 1 and aspirants were given 22 days to apply. This year, a record number of 13 lakh students registered for the UG entrance exam.
