Delhi EWS Admission 2024: Registration begins from April 30; DoE issues guidelines

NEW DELHI : Directorate of Education, Delhi has announced the schedule for EWS admission 2024-25 in private schools along with the admission guidelines. Accordingly, the online application for Delhi school EWS admission 2024 will be out on April 30 at edudel.nic.in. The last date to apply for EWS admission 2024-25 Delhi is May 15.

All private unaided schools in Delhi reserve 25 percent of seats in entry-level classes for students belonging to the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Disadvantaged Group (DG), and Children With Special Needs (CWSN) for free education. The allotment of seats is organised through a computerized lottery.

As per the DoE guidelines for Delhi school EWS admission 2024, only one registration can be done with one mobile number. While the directorate will arrange the lottery for schools under MCD and NDMC, all admission-related grievances will be dealt with by these departments.

“Only a single application shall be filed for a child by an applicant for online admission process. Multiple applications filed for a child shall lead to cancellation of candidature of the child, even after succeeding in the draw of lots for admission,” said DoE. It is mandatory for the applicant to submit the Aadhaar number of parents, however, child's Aadhar card is not required.

Any person residing in Delhi, having the residence proof of Delhi and requisite Income Certificate is eligible for applying in the private unaided recognized schools for admission of their child under EWS category.
