NEW DELHI: The Delhi government is set to conduct a survey on the impact of social and emotional well being of the students, parents and teachers of Delhi schools during the COVID-19 pandemic in the months of April and May.

The Delhi education department and planning department are together conducting this survey to understand the impact of the pandemic-induced difficulties on the social and emotional well-being of students of Class 1 to 12, as well as their parents and teachers.

A circular released by the government of national capital territory of Delhi asks the heads of schools to collect the consent of the parents of the students to conduct the survey. The circular further asked the heads of schools to support the surveyors in conducting the survey.

Recently, Aam Aadmi School Clinics were launched in Delhi by the union territory government for the mental, physical and emotional well-being of Delhi school students. Manish Sisodia, deputy chief minister of Delhi, who also handles the education portfolio, and the Delhi health minister Satyendar Jain inaugurated 20 clinics across Delhi. These clinics were launched in collaboration with the Hans Foundation.
