NEW DELHI: The Directorate of Education, Delhi has issued the schedule for General category admission for classes Nursery, KG and Class 1 in private schools in the city. As per the schedule, the application process for the nursery admission in academic session 2024-25 will begin on November 23.
Candidates should note that the last date to submit the application form for Nursery admission is December 15, 2023. The first admission list will be announced on January 12, 2024.

The DoE has asked all private unaided recognised schools that enrol students at the pre-school, pre-primary or Class 1 Levels to reserve 25% of their seats for students from the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS)/Disadvantaged Group (DG) category.

The schools will upload their admission criteria on the Directorate's website - edudel.nic.in by November 20, 2023. "Thus schools may ensure that the information uploaded on this Directorate's website is accurate and corresponds in totality with the information on their own website," DoE official official said.
Apart from this the DoE has also announced the lower and higher age limits for admission to the 2024–25 academic year. The notification states that as of March 31, the minimum age requirements for admission to pre-school (nursery), pre-primary (KG), and Class-1 is three years, four years, and five years, respectively. For pre-school, pre-primary, and Class-1, the upper age limit for admission to these entry-level classes is under four years, under five years, and under six years, respectively.
