NEW DELHI: The Delhi School of Communication (DSC) is organising an annual Media and Entertainment Career Expo on Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 10am to 2pm at its New Delhi centre. The Expo aims to introduce and familiarize students with various career options in the media and entertainment industry such as advertising, public relations, media planning, digital media, content creation, marketing, marketing communications, brand strategy etc.
The M&E Career Expo is open for all students who have appeared for or are preparing for their higher secondary, Class 12 exam and those wishing to pursue their post graduation. Students and working professionals can walk in and seek guidance.
While the career expo is free of cost, students need to register for the event. Interested students can register for the event on the link – dsc.edu.in/dsc-media-entertainment-career-expo/
“Several acclaimed academicians and industry leaders will be present on the occasion to engage with young minds,” said a statement from DSC.
Additionally, the Expo will also give exposure to students to top institutional options; how internships can play an important role in a student’s learning curve. It will also provide learning to network with industry thought leaders.
About the event, professor Ramola Kumar, Dean, DSC said, “With various new age careers options on the rise, there is massive confusion among young adults, as to which career option to choose; what steps does this entail and the procedure for the same. Are there scholarship opportunities, what careers exist in media besides journalism, should they be going abroad for further studies, is it preferable to take a year gap and then pursue further studies; we are flooded with queries such as these on a daily basis. The Expo will address all these issues and many others.”
“We wanted to interact with young minds and provide the right guidance in this regard. We aim to introduce various career options and also help them recognise how their passions can possibly be converted to their professions,” she said.
