Delhi University Admissions: Application process to begin on May 15; Open Days from May 21

NEW DELHI, MAY 11: The University of Delhi is kick-starting its admission process for the year 2018 by opening application window from May 15, 2018, for Undergraduate Programmes including merit-based and entrance-based admissions. Further, the application process for the Postgraduate Programmes including LLB and LLM will begin on May 18, 2018.
Last year, the application process for merit-based programmes had begun on May 22 and that for entrance-based commenced on June 16, 2017. This year, the DU undergraduate programmes applications for both the admission modes are beginning on the same date.
The DU aspirants will need to register online while applying for all the programmes and the colleges. “All eligible applicants are informed that the registration process of all programmes will be completely online for all categories and every quota,” reads the official notification for DU Admissions 2018.
Open Days
Once the application process has begun, likewise past years, the University will also be holding Open Days sessions to clarify doubts regarding registration and admission process. The 8-day Open Day session will be organised between May 21 and May 29, 2018. The open days will be held in two sessions, Morning between 10:00 AM and 11:30 AM, and Afternoon Session between 12:00 Noon to 1:30 PM.
DU 2018 aspirants can visit the Conference Centre, North Campus on any of these days, except on May 28, which is a Sunday.
What’s new this year
There will be a single online admission window for both merit-based and entrance-based admissions.
The CBSE students need not enter their marks but roll number through which their scores will be automatically fetched.
The University has also added the five-year-integrated journalism in the UG programme list.
The DU aspirants applying under Sports quota will need to provide three best certificates instead of one as separate documents.
Delhi University Admissions
The University of Delhi offers admissions in Undergraduate, Postgraduate, M.Phil and PhD programmes. There are two modes of UG admissions in the University, merit-based and entrance-based. Admissions into as many as 11 undergraduate programmes are held through the entrance mode. Over 2 lakh aspirants apply for undergraduate programmes, every year for around 56,000 seats on offer in 77 constituent colleges of Delhi University.
