Delhi University to hold students’ union elections 2023 on September 22; announces schedule

NEW DELHI : The University of Delhi will conduct the students’ union elections 2023 on September 22. DU has announced the election schedule for Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) and central council members. Accordingly, the last date to submit nomination papers for DUSU elections 2023 is September 12. The nomination papers can be downloaded from the official website of DU, du.ac.in.
Candidates will have to submit the nomination papers along with a demand draft of Rs 500 and affidavit to the office of the Chief Election Officer in the botany department of the university. For central council elections, candidates will have to submit the papers in the concerned colleges.

As per the schedule, the voting timings will be 8:30 am to 1 pm for students of day college and 3 pm to 7:30 pm for students of evening classes.

DU has asked candidates to put the prescribed nomination papers for DUSU in the sealed box kept in the office of election officer between 10 am to 5 pm on any working day.
Delhi University further informed that candidates can check the Code of Conduct, constitution of DUSU, and the decision of the Supreme Court regarding students’ union election and NGT order on the official website.
