Further, the report reflects that within 4 hours of the availability of DU admission form, 5,889 students have registered for PG courses, 457 for PhD courses and 19,543 have applied for the UG programmes.
Due to the COVID-19 situation, admissions have been delayed this year. Some changes in the entire admission process have been made for 2020-21 including no trails for the sports and extra-curricular activities quota admissions, document verification, etc. For admission to sports and extra-curricular activities quota seats, there will be no trails this year and admission to students will be offered based on their certificates only.
It’s also expected that even the document verification will take place online without any physical contact. Clarification on many matters related to the DU admissions or DU admission form 2020 will be made in a webinar on June 23, which will be held by the DU officials.
Admission in DU is offered through two channels – merit-based and entrance based. Admission to most of the UG courses is through the merit of the qualifying examinations, except 9 courses that are offered through Delhi University Entrance Exam (DUET). However, admission to the PG courses is offered through DUET.
