Download NowNEW DELHI : The University of Delhi (DU) has progressed in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025, ranking in 25 narrow and four broad subjects. DU’s vice chancellor Yogesh Singh said two narrow subjects, anthropology and development studies, are in the top 100.

In addition, 10 subjects are in the top 200, 22 subjects are in the top 300, 24 subjects are in the top 400, and 25 subjects are in the top 500.
According to the DU statement, his year, the university has made significant moves in improving its global ranking across various disciplines.

QS Subject Rankings 2025: DU’s broad subjects
Delhi University has made progress in various narrow subjects, including arts and humanities, which rose by 50 positions from 210 to 160; life sciences and medicine by 17 positions from 379 to 362; natural sciences rose to 70 positions, from 345 to 275; and social sciences and management by 41 positions, from 178 to 137.
QS Subject Rankings 2025: DU’s narrow subjects
While in the narrow subjects, the university has improved in various subjects, including history, which climbed from 151-200 to 101-150; accounting and finance, from 251-300 to 201-250; economics and econometrics, from 151-200 to 156; chemistry, from 301-350 to 251-300; environmental sciences, from 301-350 to 251-300; and mathematics, from 251-300 to 201-250.
“Additionally, the University of Delhi is proud to announce its first-ever ranking in Education (401-450),” the DU statement said.
