DU Admission 2021: Ramanujan College releases first cut-off list; Applied Psychology at 99%

NEW DELHI: The Delhi University’s Ramanujan College has released its first cut-off list 2021 for admissions to various undergraduate courses. Students can check the course-wise cut-offs at the official website of college - ramanujancollege.ac.in.

This year, 2.87 lakh students have registered for the DU UG admissions 2021 while 70,000 students have secured above 95% in Class 12 board exams 2021.

DU Admission 2021: Calculation of cut-offs

The Delhi University cut-off list is prepared by using the DU’s best of four criteria that considers the marks obtained in top four subjects by the students in the Class 12 board exams.

The best of four method includes one language subject and three academic subjects filled up by the candidates during the registration process. The subjects must also include the one in which the candidate wishes to take admission in.

DU Cut-Off 2021: Marks-deduction rules

Delhi University deducts the best of four marks in case a student seeks admission in a BA (Hons) programme in a subject he or she has not studied in Class 12.

While DU will deduct best of four marks by 5% for a non-language student taking admission in a language course, it will deduct those marks by 2.5% for any student changing stream and seeking admission in a non-language course. For example, DU will deduct 2.5% marks for a student seeking admission to BA (Hons) Economics who has not studied mathematics in Class 12.
