DU first cut off dates likely to be announced today
NEW DELHI: The University of Delhi (DU) is set to release the first cut-off dates for DU admissions by today or tomorrow, an official said.
“We will be releasing the dates by today or tomorrow. It is pending approval from the authority’s side,” said Shobha Bagai, dean of admissions, Delhi University.
The university had closed registrations on August 31.
Over 5.63 lakh students had registered for undergraduate courses, over 1.83 lakh for postgraduate courses and over 34,000 for M.phil and PhD courses.
According to data shared by DU, the maximum number of applicants are from Delhi (1,42,526), followed by Uttar Pradesh (66,657) and Haryana (50,701).
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the university had decided to not hold extra-curricular activities (ECA) admissions, barring those having NCC and NSS certificates.
It later revised that position and announced that admissions under 12 categories, including music, dance, divinity and yoga, will be held based on certificates.
Delhi University has allowed candidates to make corrections in their applications till October 5.
