The University of Delhi (DU) has announced the results of spot round 1 for postgraduate (PG) admissions 2026. A total of 1,358 seats have been allotted, while 10,577 candidates have submitted their consent to participate in the round.

The university conducted the spot admission round to fill vacant postgraduate seats after the completion of regular counselling rounds. Candidates who have been allotted seats in DU PG spot round 1 counselling must complete the admission process within the prescribed schedule through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS-PG) portal.

DU PG spot round 1 admission process

According to the university, only candidates who had shown their interest to participate in the spot round 1 were considered for seat allotment. University prepares seat allotment on the basis of programme-wise merit, seat availability, reservation rules, and candidates' preferences.

After seat acceptance, the respective departments and colleges will verify the submitted documents and eligibility details. Once the verification process is completed, candidates must pay the DU PG spot round 1 admission fee to confirm their seats.

Failure to complete any of the required admission steps within the notified timeline may lead to cancellation of the allotted seat.

DU PG spot round 1 documents required during the admission process for verification includes-

  • CUET PG 2026 scorecard
  • DU PG admission form/CSAS-PG application confirmation
  • Class 10 certificate and mark sheet (for date of birth verification)
  • Class 12 certificate and mark sheet
  • Graduation degree certificate and semester/ year-wise mark sheets
  • Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwBD), if applicable
  • Transfer Certificate (TC), if required
  • Migration certificate (for candidates from universities other than DU, if applicable)
  • Character certificate
  • Recent passport-size photographs
  • Valid photo identity proof (Aadhaar card/ PAN card/ passport/ voter ID)
  • Disability certificate (for PwBD candidates, if applicable)
  • Other relevant documents required by the respective college or department
