DU receives 88,994 UG registrations in 3 days; 81,610 PG applications in 12 days

Download NowNEW DELHI: The University of Delhi has received around 88,994 UG registrations till 5 pm yesterday, as per Delhi University’s official data. The much-awaited DU admission portal went live on August 2 for undergraduate programmes and within the initial two hours, it received around 8,000 applications . The last date to fill the DU admission form 2021 for UG courses is August 31.

The University of Delhi is conducting a series of webinars to make the students familiar with the modalities of the DU UG admission process. On Wednesday, the university conducted its first webinar or virtual open day which was live-streamed on Facebook. The second in the ongoing series will be held today between 4 pm to 5 pm with the discussions revolving around the theme “Overview of registration process”. The last DU virtual open days will be streamed on August 7.
For PG programmes, the Delhi University has received as many as 81,610 applications so far. The DU application form 2021 for PG and PhD courses was released on July 26 and the last to submit the application is August 21. The university has also received a total of 11,665 applications for PhD programmes.
“We will try and help the aspirants in the process through our computer centre if they let us know about the issues they are facing. We have computer departments in various colleges and their infrastructure can be used by the students to fill up the forms,” registrar Vikas Gupta said during the webinar.
The University of Delhi is also planning to reopen the DU colleges for science students . The guidelines to reopen the Delhi university colleges will be issued next week, said Gupta during the event.
