The University of Delhi (DU) has revealed that till now a total of 61,932 candidates have confirmed their undergraduate admissions after paying the requisite fees under the first round of the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS).

The latest admission figures show a sharp increase from the previous update released on Monday evening. As 7 pm on July 20, 45,316 applicants had finished the admission process, indicating a substantial rise in confirmations ahead of the fee payment deadline.

Earlier, DU had said that more than 81,900 aspirants had accepted the UG seats allotted to them in the first round, reflecting strong participation in the admission process.

The university announced the first CSAS allocation list last week, offering seats to 93,033 applicants against more than 71,000 UG seats available across 221 programmes in 67 colleges for the 2026-27.

DU UG Seat Allotment 2026: Steps to check

To check the DU UG seat allotment 2026, follow the steps given below:

  • Visit the official DU UG admission portal at ugadmission.uod.ac.in
  • On the homepage, click on the 'candidate login' option
  • Enter the details, including CUET UG 2026 application number, password, and security captcha, then ‘login'
  • Open the 'allotment status' link to check the allotted college and programme
  • Download the allotment letter and take a printout for future reference

The allocations were made from a pool of more than 2.08 lakh aspirants who finished Phase II of the admission process by submitting their programme and college preference.

Aspirants who have accepted their allotted seats will also have the option to seek an update in the subsequent rounds if they wish to be considered for a higher programme or college preference.

DU will release the second allocation list on July 25, 2026, while the new academic session will start on July 28, 2026.
