DUSU Election 2023: Last date to file nomination extended to September 14; revised schedule

Delhi University Student Election 2023: The DUSU polls will be held on September 22, however, the last date for nomination and scrutiny has been extended.

Download NowNEW DELHI: University of Delhi has revised the Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) election 2023 schedule. The last date for submission of nomination papers has been extended by two days. Students who are interested to participate in Delhi University election 2023 of office bearers posts in students’ union will now be able to submit nomination till September 14.

The last date for withdrawal of nominations has also been extended till September 15. However, the DUSU election 2023 will be held on the same date, September 22, announced earlier.
The DU students elections 2023 will be held after four years. The elections were not conducted from 2019 due to COVID-19 and other disruptions to the academic calendar. The university said that this year polling will be held on electronic voting machines (EVMs). “The college students' election will be held by paper ballots that have to be procured, printed and managed entirely by the college itself," the notice said.

“The prescribed nomination papers for the Office Bearers of DUSU are to be put in the sealed box kept in the Office of the Chief Election Officer, DUSU Elections 2023-24 at the above address from 10.00 AM to 5.00 PM. on any working day,” the university said.
It has also given age relaxation of 3 years to the UG candidates from 22 years to 25 years and PG candidates from 25 years to 28 years.
