NEW DELHI: In view of the prevailing situation in the country due to COVID-19 pandemic, Footwear Design & Development Institute has cancelled the FDDI All India Selection Test (AIST) 2021. As restriction and lockdown continues in various parts of the country, FDDI has decided to cancel the AIST as it will be difficult to hold the exam.
“FDDI recently reviewed the prevailing situation and found that because of continuing lockdowns in some form in various parts of the country, it will be difficult to hold All India Selection Test (AIST) for the academic session 2021-22,” states the official notice of FDDI dated July 20.
Revised selection criteria for BDes admission 2021 - 2022
BDes applicants will be assigned ranks based on their aggregate percent secured in all subjects in the 10+2 exam or equivalent/ 3-year AICTE approved diploma.
If two or more candidates secure the same aggregate percent marks, then the older candidate as per date of birth will be ranked higher.
Shortlisted applicants will be assigned FDDI campus and programme based on their choice, merit, and availability of seats through the counselling session.

FDDI will issue guidelines for counselling in due course at the official website. Applicants who have already submitted applications are required to provide information as mentioned in the revised selection criteria. Applicants can provide the requisite information at fddiindia.com using their existing username and password from July 31 to August 10, 2021.
