FT Master in Management Rankings 2026: IIM Bangalore secures 21st spot globally; 14 Indian B-schools in top 10

The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM Bangalore) has secured 21st position in the Financial Times (FT) Masters in Management Rankings 2026. A total of 14 Indian colleges have been placed among the 100 business schools in the latest rankings.

Followed by SPJIMR (SP Jain Institute of Management and Research) at 26th position, IIM Ahmedabad at 27th, XLRI (Xavier School of Management) at 33rd, whereas IIM Calcutta at 39th spot.

Moreover, other management institutes such as IIM Kozhikode has secured 54th position, IIM Indore at 62nd, MDI Gurgaon (Management Development Institute) at 67th, IIM Lucknow at 72nd, NMIMS Mumbai at 73rd, IIM Udaipur at 83rd, IMT Ghaziabad (Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad) at 85th, IMI Delhi at 90th, and TA Pai Management institute at 98th position in the FT Masters in Management Rankings 2026.

FT MIM Rankings 2026: University of St Gallen ranks 1st globally

The University of St Gallen has ruled the top spot in the FT MIM Rankings 2026 for the third consecutive year. Portugal's Nova School of Business and Economics has advanced to second position from last year’s fourth spot.

Furthermore, Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s Antai College of Economics and Management moved from 6th to 3rd place.

The FT Masters in Management rankings uses data supplied by business schools and responses from alumni, who graduated in 2023. According to the data, alumni responses account for 56% of the overall ranking score, while institute data weighs 44%.

The rankings cover 100 English-taught, full-time, cohort-based programmes, primarily aimed at students with little or no prior work experience.

The business schools are evaluated on parameters including graduate salaries, salary growth, career progression, value for money, international exposure, diversity, and sustainability.

Average salary three years after graduation carries the highest individual weightage at 15%, and salary increase at 9%.
