Five distinguished faculty members from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow have featured in Stanford University’s list of top 2 percent scientists in the world.
Among the five professors are Samir K Srivastava from operations and supply chain management; Sanjay K Singh from economics and business environment; Chandan Sharma from economics and business environment; Suresh K Jakhar from operations and supply chain management; and Sushant Kumar from marketing. Jakhar is an assistant professor while all others serve as professors.
The researchers have received the recognition based on citation impact, research productivity, and scholarly contributions that, the institute said, shape knowledge and practice across disciplines worldwide.
IIM Lucknow finds its inclusion in this global list as a reflection of its commitment to fostering a culture of rigorous, high-impact research that advances ideas of global relevance.
The seventh edition of the world’s top 2% researchers saw 6,239 Indian scientists in the Stanford University list. This year more Indian scientists emerged in the single-year category but fewer in the career category in comparison to the previous years. 755 researchers are from the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), 330 from National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and 117 from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc).
