FMGE score card delayed? 13,149 qualified candidates await NBEMS’s announcement

NEW DELHI: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is expected to issue the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) December 2024 score card soon for all qualified candidates. The FMGE score card was scheduled to be issued on or after January 27, however, it has not yet been uploaded on the official website, natboard.edu.in.

A total of 13,149 candidates qualified the exam out of the 44,390 who appeared for the exam. A majority of 31,236 candidates were declared failed. FMGE pass certificates will be distributed to qualified candidates in-person after the identity and credential verification, the board said.

“The score card of FMGE December 2024 issued by NBEMS at its website can not be presented before a State Medical Council for the purpose of seeking registration,” it said.

As per the FMGE Dec results 2024, the result of seven candidates have been withheld. The results for such candidates is subject to outcome of “NBEMS Examination Ethics Committee/ Unfair Means Case/ Court Matter/ Security clearance from MHA, as may be applicable,” it added.

As per the passing marks, candidates will have to score at least 150 marks out of FMGE total marks 300 to be eligible to practice medicine in India. Pass certificate will be issued four weeks after the result declaration, “however, due to unforeseen circumstances, this period may vary”.

How to download FMGE score card 2024?

Candidates can follow the steps given below to download the FMGE score card.

• Visit the NBE FMGE official website, natboard.edu.in or nbe.edu.in.
• Click on the FMGE December score card 2024 download link on the homepage.
• Key in your FMGE user ID and password on the scorecard link provided.
• FMGE score card will be displayed.
• View all the details mentioned in the result card and save it for future reference.
