GAT–B, BET 2024 exam on April 20; NTA begins registration process

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the Graduate Aptitude Test- Biotechnology (GAT-B), Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET) registration process for admission to department of biotechnology supported postgraduate programmes in participating Institutions. Along with the schedule, the NTA has also announced the GAT-B, BET exam date 2024.
Through the national-level examination, DBT – Junior Research Fellowship (DBT-JRF) will also be awarded to qualifying candidates for pursuing research in frontier areas of Biotechnology (BET).
The GAT-B, BET 2024 exam will be held on April 20 in two shifts for a total of 3 hours duration. GAT-B exam 2024 will be held in the first shift from 9 am to 12 noon and BET 2024 exam in the second shift from 3 pm to 6 pm.
As per the application fee, general category applicants who wish to appear for either GAT-B or BET 2024 will have to pay Rs 1,200 and SC, ST, PwD candidates should pay Rs 600. Those candidates who wish to take both the GAT-B and BET 2024 exams will have to pay double the fees. General candidates should deposit Rs 2,400 and reserved category applicants will have to pay Rs 1,200.
“Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate. Multiple Application Forms submitted by a candidate will not be accepted under any circumstances,” the NTA said.
