Try NowNEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur has released the GATE 2022 brochure on August 1. Applicants can check the official notification from the GATE 2022 official website - gate.iitkgp.ac.in. The exam conducting authority has introduced multiple changes in the IITKGP GATE 2022 exam. Applicants will be able to fill the GATE 2022 application form from August 30. The last date to complete IITKGP GATE registration 2022 is September 34.
GATE 2022 exam date are February 5, 6, 12 and 13 across the country. Applicants who complete the GATE 2022 registration before the last date will be able to appear for the exam.
GATE 2022 - Changes introduced this year

IIT Kharagpur has introduced two new papers for GATE 2022. The new papers introduced this year are Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering and Geomatics Engineering. The exam conducting authority has also released the syllabus for both papers in the GATE 2022 brochure .

Separate GATE 2022 score and ranking will be provided for candidates appearing for Geology and Geophysics (GG), Humanities and Social Sciences (XH) and Architecture and Planning (AR).

CE, CS, EC, EE and ME papers will be conducted in multiple sessions. However, a candidate is allowed to appear in only one specified session

A candidate appearing in one or two papers must fill only one GATE application form 2022. In case of multiple applications, only one will be accepted and remaining applications will be rejected without any refund for the paid fee.

From this year, direct recruitment to Group A level posts in the Central government, i.e Senior Field Officer (Tele), Senior Research Officer (Crypto) and Senior Research Officer (S&T) in Cabinet Secretariat, Government of India, is now being carried out on the basis of IITKGP GATE score.

The exam conducting authority has decreased GATE 2022 exam centres in some zones this year. The exam will not be conducted at any foreign centre due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Applicants appearing for more than one paper have to pay the GATE 2022 application fee separately for both papers.

Applicants must keep the IITKGP GATE 2022 scorecard safely after the declaration of the result.

Qualifying marks for EWS candidates is 90% as that of the General candidates.
Applicants must check the GATE 2022 eligibility before filling the application form. The application fee of GATE 2022 is the same as last year. The application form of IITKGP GATE 2022 is Rs 1500 for General/OBC while SC/ST/PwD and Women candidates have to pay Rs 750 as application fee.
