NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur is going to conduct the GATE 2022 on February 5, 6, 12 and 13 across the country. The exam authority has released the GATE 2022 admit card on January 15 at gate.iitkgp.ac.in. Amid rising cases of COVID-19 across the country, IIT KGP has released an important announcement at the official website.

Due to a surge in COVID-19 cases, the GATE 2022 exam may get postponed. Applicants appearing for the GATE 2022 exam are advised to get vaccinated for COVID-19.

The announcement read as:

The health and safety of our examination participants is of utmost priority. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic situation, all dates mentioned in this website may change. In rare cases, the GATE 2022 examination may be postponed or cancelled due to situations beyond control.

All the candidates are advised to get vaccinated for Covid-19.

Earlier, IIT Kharagpur director Virendra Kumar Tewari said that the decision on GATE 2022 will be taken soon after reviewing the situation. Post statement, GATE admit card were issued on January 15.

Amid rising cases of COVID-19 Over 23,000 also signed GATE 2022 postponed petition. Candidates demanding the GATE 2022 postponed as there are high chances of getting infected at the exam centre.

IIT KGP has also mentioned that dates given on the official website may change as per the COVID-19 situation in the country. There is a possibility of GATE 2022 postponed or cancellation if the situation goes beyond the control.
