NEW DELHI: The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2023, will be organized by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. GATE 2023 exam will be conducted on February 4, 5, 11 and 12, 2023. GATE 2023 registration will commence in the first week of September 2022. Candidates will be able to register on the official website - gate.iitk.ac.in.

GATE 2023 will be a computer-based test (CBT) and will be conducted in 29 subject areas with the choice of selecting two papers in some subjects. The exam will test the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering, sciences, humanities and social sciences.
The candidate who is currently studying in the 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree programme or completed any government degree in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Sciences, Commerce or Arts will be eligible to apply.
GATE 2023 exam will be jointly conducted by IIT Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Roorkee and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore. The exam will be organized on behalf of the National Coordination Board-GATE (NCB) and the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India.

With the help of GATE 2023 scores, students will be able to get admission and/or financial assistance in master’s programmes and direct doctoral programmes in engineering, technology, architecture and doctoral programmes in relevant branches of arts and science, in the institutions supported by the MoE and other government agencies. Further, many Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) use the GATE score in their recruitment processes.
