GATE 2024: Rectify defective applications to obtain scorecards at goaps.iisc.ac.in

Check NowNEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore will announce the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2024) results on March 16. Ahead of result announcement, candidates have got another opportunity to rectify the application forms identified to be defective.

"GOAPS portal (https://goaps.iisc.ac.in) is accepting defect rectifications from candidates who were allowed to appear for GATE 2024 provisionally. This is the last opportunity for such candidates to rectify defects & obtain their Score Card subject to qualification in GATE 2024" read the official tweet.
Candidates who were allowed to appear for GATE 2024 provisionally can rectify their applications through the GOAPS portal, goaps.iisc.ac.in. Such candidates will not get their scorecards if they fail to rectify the defects in the application forms.
The provisional answer key of the examination was issued on February 19 and candidates were asked to send their feedback between February 22 to 25. As per the schedule, GATE 2024 results will be announced on March 16, and scorecards will be available for download on March 23.

Candidates will have to use their login credentials such as registration number and date of birth to download the GATE 2024 results. The GATE 2024 scorecards will be used for admission and financial assistance for masters and doctorate programmes at user institutions. Apart from this many Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) consider the examination in their recruitments.
The GATE 2024 exam was held on February 3, 4, 10, and 11 for a total of 30 papers. As per the reports, around 6.8 lakh candidates appeared for the exam.
GATE 2024: Marking scheme
- 1 mark MCQs – 0.33 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
- 2 mark MCQs – 0.66 marks will be deducted for every wrong response.
- Zero marks will be awarded for unattempted questions
- No negative marking will be done for Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.
