NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Science Bengaluru has launched the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2024) admission portal today. As per the GATE 2024 notification, the application process is expected to begin from August 24 for admission to undergraduate and both UG and postgraduate (PG) level subjects in arts, commerce and science courses offered by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and IISc.
The GATE exam date 2024 will be announced soon by the institute. The exam will be conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode for a total of 30 subject papers and 82 combinations of papers. The exam will be conducted in 219 exam cities across the country. The last date to apply for GATE 2024 exam is September 19, 2023.
GATE 2024 question paper will be entirely of objective type questions and will have two sections - general aptitude (GA) and the subject selected by the candidate. The pattern of questions will include some multiple-choice questions (MCQ), while the remaining questions may include multiple select questions (MSQ) and/or numerical answer type (NAT) questions.
Those who qualify GATE 2024 must note that the scorecard will be valid for three years. GATE 2024 score will also be used to offer jobs in PSU.
GATE 2024: Eligibility
Nationality - Indian students and international applicants will also be able to appear in the GATE 2024 exam.
Academic Qualification - Candidates who have bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology or master’s degree in any relevant science subject. Candidates in their final year are also eligible to appear for GATE 2024. Those applicants who are applying from countries other than India should either have completed or in the last year of their qualifying degree in engineering, technology, science, arts, or commerce.
GATE 2024 Age Limit - There is no age limit for GATE 2024.
