GATE 2024 registration last date extended to October 5; 1.37 lakh register on September 29

Try NowNEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Science Bangalore (IISc) said that the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2024) received more than 1.37 lakh applications yesterday. The institute has extended the last date of registration without late fee to October 5 to enable more aspirants to apply.
The GATE online application processing system (GOAPS), goaps.iisc.ac.in, hosts the GATE registration link 2024. Candidates who wish to pursue postgraduate (PG) and direct doctoral programmes in IITs and IISc will have to appear in the exam. Recruitment to several Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) is also done through GATE score.
The last date to apply for GATE 2024 was September 29 and the deadline to apply with a late fee is October 13. However, as per the latest announcement, candidates can apply with the regular fees till October 5.
“GATE 2024 received more than 1,37.000 applications today! To enable more aspirants to apply for GATE 2024, registration (without late fee) is being extended until October 5, 2023. Late fee will be applicable after October 5, 2023. Please do not wait until the last date. Apply right away! GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS): https://goaps.iisc.ac.in,” the IISc said.
GATE exam 2024 will be held for 30 test papers spanning engineering, science, architecture, and humanities on February 3, 4, 10, and 11.
On September 21, IISc announced that the GATE 2024 received nearly 25% more applications compared to last year.
