GATE 2025 February 1 Shift 2 Analysis: Paper moderate with conceptual questions; section-wise difficulty level

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has ended the shift 2 of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 February 1 exam at 5:30 pm. As per the GATE 2025 marking scheme released by IIT Roorkee, each question in the GATE 2025 question paper will carry either one or two marks. • There will be negative marking for a wrong answer chosen in a multiple-choice question (MCQ). For a 1-mark MCQ, one-third mark will be deducted for an incorrect response.
• For a 2-mark MCQ, two-third marks will be deducted for a wrong answer submitted by the candidate.
• There will not be any negative marking for wrong answers to MSQ and NAT questions.
• There is no partial marking for any question.
