GATE 2027 Application Form LIVE: Registration begins tomorrow; check dates, eligibility, fees and exam pattern

Candidates can apply for one or two GATE papers. However, if they wish to appear for two papers, the combination must be among those permitted by the GATE 2027 committee.

Check NowThe Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, GATE 2027 registration process will begin tomorrow, August 27, with the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) going live on the official website, gate2027.iitm.ac.in. The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) will conduct GATE 2027 from February 6.
The registration was originally scheduled to begin on August 14 but was rescheduled by IIT Madras . Candidates will now be able to apply online until September 27 (without late fee), while they will be able to submit applications with a late fee until October 5. The application rectification window will be open from October 14 to October 21.

Admit cards for GATE are usually released a week before the commencement of exam.
GATE 2027 changes introduced
GATE 2027 brings several changes for candidates, including the introduction of a new Robotics and Automation (RA) test paper. The GATE 2027 website has also notified revisions to the syllabi, Textile Engineering and Fibre Science (TF) paper, and sectional paper codes under XE, XH and XL. Another important change is that registration through DigiLocker is mandatory for all Indian nationals.
IIT Madras has advised candidates to create or update their verified DigiLocker accounts before beginning the application process.
Documents required for GATE 2027
Candidates should keep the required documents ready before beginning registration process.
- Good-quality passport size photograph
- Candidate's signature
- Scanned copy of a valid photo identity document
- SC/ST certificate (if applicable)
- UDID or PwD certificate (if applicable)
- Dyslexic certificate (if applicable)

To apply for the GATE 2027, follow the steps given below:
- Visit official website of GATE at gate2027.iitm.ac.in
- Click on GOAPS and then enter the details, including personal, academic and communication
- Finish the facial registration, upload documents and make the payment
- Submit the form
- Download the confirmation PDF and take a printout for further reference
