GATE and JAM 2025: Changes in upcoming exam centres in Prayagraj due to Maha Kumbh gathering
Candidates can now download their updated admit card for JAM 2025 at jam2025.iitd.ac.in and GATE 2025 at gate2025.iitr.ac.in.

NEW DELHI : The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) has moved the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2025 and Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 exam centres in Prayagraj to Lucknow due to the Maha Kumbh Mela. Candidates will have to download the updated admit card for the GATE 2025 exam on February 1 and 2, 2025 and the JAM 2025 admit card for the exam on February 2, 2025.
According to the official statement, GATE conducting body IIT Roorkee and JAM conducting body IIT Delhi said several students expressed their difficulty in reaching the exam centre in Prayagraj due to huge gathering in Maha Kumbh mela. Therefore, the centres have been changed for student’s convenience.
As per the latest update, candidates are advised to download their JAM 2025 updated admit card through the official website at jam2025.iitd.ac.in and GATE 2025 admit cards through gate2025.iitr.ac.in.
The IIT JAM 2025 exam is scheduled to be held on February 2 in two shifts; morning shift from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and the afternoon shift from 2:30 to 5:30 pm. Candidates must make sure the exam details are correct on thei r IIT JAM 2025 admit card .
Candidates will find their subject name, test paper code, exam centre details, timings, name, registration number, photograph and signature mentioned on the admit card.
The admit card should be kept safely until the admission process is complete. However, candidates are advised to reach exam centre priorly before the exam begins. Candidates should follow all the guidelines mentioned in the admit card. Candidates are advised not to carry any digital devices, such as calculators, smartwatches, smartphones etc to the exam centre. Candidates must reach the exam centre on time to avoid any last-minute inconvenience.
