GATE COAP 2026 registration begins for MTech, PSU; eligibility criteria, how to apply

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has started the registration process for the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP 2026) for admission to MTech programmes and PSU recruitment through the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). Eligible candidates can fill the GATE COAP application form through the official website, coap2026.iitr.ac.in/coap2026.

For PSU jobs or MTech admission at IISc Bengaluru and all IITs, candidates will have to apply separately to each institute or Public Sector Undertaking (PSU).

As per the eligibility criteria, a candidate who has successfully cleared their GATE 2026, 2025 or 2024 exams is eligible to fill the COAP 2026 application form.

The candidate must be an Indian citizen. If a candidate has more than one valid scorecard, they must submit the one with the higher score or better rank.

In COAP round 1, candidates can view offers and make a decision from May 11 (10 am) to May 13 (9 am), while the last round (Round 10) will be held from June 8 (10 am) to July 10 (9 am).

The participating institutes include IISc Bengaluru, IIT Dharwad, IIT Gandhinagar, IIT Goa, IIT Indore, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, IIT Jammu, IIT Jodhpur, IIT Bhilai, IIT BHU, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Bhubaneswar, IIT Mandi, IIT Palakkad, IIT Patna, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Roorkee, IIT Ropar, IIT Tirupati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur and IIT Madras

GATE COAP Registration 2026: How to apply?

Follow the instructions below to fill out the GATE COAP application form 2026.

• Go to the official COAP website, coap2026.iitr.ac.in
• Click on the “Register” link on the homepage.
• Enter your valid GATE 2026 registration number, email ID, and mobile number.
• Create a password and submit the details.
• Log in using your credentials.
• Fill in the COAP form with the required information and verify your details.
• Submit the GATE COAP 2026 form and save or print the confirmation page for future use.
