GATE registration 2021 to start next week at gate.iitb.ac.in; know how to apply

NEW DELHI: IIT Bombay will start the GATE registration 2021 from September 14. GATE application form 2021 will be available online on the official website gate.iitb.ac.in . Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, commonly known as GATE, is the entrance exam for admission in M.Tech/Phd programs in engineering and science. Admission in M.Tech or Phd courses in IITs, NITs, IIITs, GFTIs as well as many other state colleges is through GATE. IIT Bombay is the organising institute of GATE 2021 exam.

How to Fill GATE Application Form 2021
GATE application form will be available online through GATE Online Application Processing System, also called GOAPS portal. Candidates can either apply through GATE 2021 official website gate.iitb.ac.in or directly visit the GOAPS portal at goaps.iitb.ac.in . Steps involved in applying for GATE 2021 are

• Visit the official website of GOAPS portal and register by providing details like name, mobile number and email address

• After registration, candidates will receive details about registration number and login credentials in their mobile and email

• Login using the credentials and fill complete GATE application form 2021

• Upload scanned photograph and signature

• Pay the application fee

• Final submission and taking printout for future reference

GATE 2021 New Changes

• Two new subjects added in GATE 2021 - GATE Humanities and Social Science (XH) and Environmental Science and Engineering (ES)

• Eligibility criteria for appearing in GATE 2021 relaxed; candidates of pre-final year can also apply now

• Candidates can select two subjects for appearing in GATE 2021.

The GATE exam is conducted online as a computer based test. GATE 2021 will be conducted on February 5, 6, 7, 12, 13 and 14 across various cities of the county. The official exam pattern, GATE syllabus and other details can be checked from the official website gate.iitb.ac.in .
