GD Goenka University felicitates meritorious students at 9th convocation

GD Goenka University was established at Gurugram in 2018 with an aim to empower youth for nation building.
NEW DELHI: GD Goenka University felicitated its meritorious students at its ninth convocation ceremony. Union minister of information and broadcasting Anurag Thakur was the chief guest on the occasion.
Established in 2013 in Gurugram, GD Goenka University has been focusing on enabling the youth with knowledge, skill and entrepreneurial spirit for the last one decade. The university has also aligned the curriculum with the National Education Policy (NEP), 2020.
The university has been aiming at empowering youth for nation building, innovative learning environment, holistic development through sports, advancing knowledge through research, global collaborations, diverse education and skill-building for career success.
The institution has also been recognising and supporting academic brilliance and awards a large number of merit and merit-cum means scholarships. Further recognising the need for supporting underprivileged students, the university equally provides scholarships for other deserving students including girls from foster homes and orphanages, it added.
Congratulating the students and faculty, Anurag Singh Thakur said, "Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the NEP 2020 brought after almost four decades emphasises innovation through education, aligning with the government's commitment to fostering a dynamic learning environment for Bhartiya youth.

The prime minister’s initiatives like 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' showcase his dedication to alleviating the exam-related stress, ensuring our youth is well-prepared for a prosperous future, he added.
GD Goenka Group managing director Nipun Goenka said, “As GD Goenka University reflects on a decade of achievements, it looks forward to continuing its legacy of excellence in education, innovation, and global impact, aligning with the principles of NEP 2020 and contributing to the nation's growth through a skilled and empowered youth.”
