NEW DELHI: GITAM (Deemed to be University) has announced the GITAM Admission Test (GAT) 2024 exam date for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses for the academic session 2024-25. The entrance exam will be conducted in five phases with the first phase scheduled for January 6, 7.
The last date to apply for the second phase of GAT 2024 is March 28. Students can apply for admission to UG and PG programmes in Architecture, Sciences, Engineering, Liberal Arts (Humanities), Law, Management, Nursing, Paramedical, Pharmacy, and Physiotherapy at GITAM campuses in Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru.
The eligibility criteria for GAT 2024 are different for different programmes, with most courses requiring a minimum of 60 percent marks in Class 12.
As per the GAT 2024 exam pattern, the exam will be divided in two sections. There will be a gamified test in section 1 and subject-specific questions in section 2. The duration of GAT exam 2024 will be two hours and the question paper will contain multiple-choice questions on subjects such as English and logical reasoning.
The exam will evaluate students in course-specific subjects, including mathematics, biology, physics, and chemistry for BTech, and commerce and economics for BBA, BCom, BA, LLB, and related management courses. All candidates will also be tested on quantitative aptitude, analytical reasoning, and verbal ability.
GAT 2024 will be held offline at 50 examination centers spread across cities including Bengaluru, Chandigarh, New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bhubaneshwar, Chennai, Kolkata, Visakhapatnam, Mumbai, and Pune. The phased examination schedule spans from January to June 2024, providing flexibility for candidates to choose a suitable testing window.
