The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) will conduct the GSEB Gujarat Board HSC and SSC exams 2026 from today in two shifts. GSEB will hold Gujarat Board SSC exams 2026 from February 26 to March 18, while HSC exams 2026 will end on March 18. To pass the GSEB HSC and SSC exams 2026, students must score atleast 33 marks out of 100.

On the first day, GSEB SSC students will appear for the First Language exam, covering Gujarati, Hindi, Marathi, English, Urdu, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu, and Odia. The exam will be conducted from 10 am to 1:15 pm.
For HSC candidates, the first day exam will be conducted for Physics for the Science stream and Sahkar Panchayat for the General and Commerce streams. GSEB HSC exam 2026 will follow the timings specified on their admit cards.
According to the official schedule, SSC exams will be held in a single shift from 10 am to 1:15 pm; meanwhile, HSC exams will take place from 3 pm to 6:15 pm. Each paper will have a duration of three hours. Students are required to arrive at their respective examination centres at least 30 to 60 minutes before the exam begins.
As per GSEB board guidelines, to pass the theory exams, students must secure atleast 33% in all subjects, individually.

Students will receive grades in accordance with the GSEB passing criteria 2026. The grading system has been structured into specific mark ranges applicable to all subjects in the Gujarat Board external exams.

To pass the GSEB SSC and HSC Board Exams 2026, students must secure at least a Grade ‘D’, which corresponds to the 33-40 mark range. Candidates are required to obtain a minimum of 33 marks out of 100 to qualify. Those who score below 33 marks or receive grades such as E1 or E2 in the GSEB external exams must improve their performance by appearing for improvement or supplementary exams to pass.
