Download NowNEW DELHI: A day after releasing the timetable of Gujarat Board exams 2021, the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) has cancelled the examination due to Covid-19. The decision to cancel the Gujarat board exam 2021 came after the Central government announced to cancel the CBSE 12th board exams.
“Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board cancels Class 12th board examination,” says State Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, as per a tweet by ANI.

Gujarat Board has released the timetable for SSC and HSC exams on June 1, 2021. The GSEB timetable 2021 was released on the official website gsebeservice.com. According to the timetable, the GSEB 10th board exam 2021 was scheduled from July 1 to 8, 2021, while GSEB 12th board exam 2021 for general stream were to be held between July 1 to 16, 2021.
On June 1, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high-level review meeting, wherein it was decided to cancel CBSE Class 12 board exams due to the ongoing pandemic. It was also decided to compile the CBSE Class 12 result as per well-defined objective criteria in a time-bound manner.
Following the CBSE Board’s decision, many other educational boards, including CISCE, MP Board, West Bengal board, etc, have decided to cancel the exams. Several other states like UP, and Punjab are yet to take a decision on the board exams.
