State Board Exams 2024: Guidelines, changes

Candidates appearing for the exams will have to carry their admit cards along with a photo ID proof to the examination hall on the exam day. Students are advised to reach the exam centre at least one hour before the commencement of the exam to avoid last minute hassle.

JKBOSE board exams for Class 10 were supposed to begin from March 9. However, the paper scheduled on March 9 was postponed to April 4 by the board due to unavoidable situations.

In the case of the Gujarat board, the state government announced changes in exam pattern last year. The board exam changes include an increase of 10% in objective questions. Now, there will be 30% objective questions in the exam instead of 20%. On the other hand, the percentage of descriptive questions has been decreased by the board from 30% to 20%.

For Class 12, a total of 50% of the Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) from the science stream have been retained. The remaining descriptive questions will remain unchanged. No internal choices will be provided to students anymore.
