GUJCET exam 2024 for engineering, pharmacy admission today; dos and don’ts

Try NowNEW DELHI: The Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET 2024) for admission to engineering and pharmacy will be held today by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board. A total of 1,37,799 registered candidates will be appearing in the state-level entrance exam.
It is mandatory for candidates to carry the GUJCET admit card 2024 to be allowed entry into the exam hall. As per the GUJCET action plan , the exam will be held in 673 exam venues at 34 centres. The board has installed CCTV cameras to prevent use of unfair means, cheating and malpractices.
A total of 75,558 are boys and 62,241 are girl candidates will be appearing today. The exam will be held in pen-and-paper mode for a duration of 3 hours. Students seeking admission for BTech courses will have to appear in physics, chemistry and mathematics, while pharmacy aspirants will have to appear in physics, chemistry and biology papers.
Each section will have 40 questions carrying 1 mark each. There will also be a negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong response. Candidates who obtain minimum GUJCET passing marks will be declared qualified. The GUJCET scores will be given 40% weightage in admission.
GUJCET 2024 exam guidelines
The Gujarat Board has notified dos and don’ts inside the exam hall to be followed by the students.
- As per the exam day guidelines, carrying any notes, electronic devices, bluetooth devices, mobile phones are prohibited inside the exam hall.
- Discussing with other examinees, disobeying the instructions of invigilator, tampering with the OMR answer sheet, question paper or barcode sticker will be considered as unfair means.
- Delivering the question paper outside the examination hall before the completion of the examination will be considered an offense.
- Should not damage any identifying mark or write name of any deity on OMR answer sheet.
- Indicating the seat number in the OMR answer sheet other than the prescribed space is also not allowed.
