Haryana announces summer vacation in all schools from May 28

All Haryana schools will remain closed for summer vacation till June 30 and resume classes on July 1.
NEW DELHI: The Haryana government has announced summer vacation in all schools starting from tomorrow, May 28. All government and private schools across the state will remain closed till June 30. The directorate of school education department has asked teachers to ensure that they provide holiday homework to the students today, May 27.
“With reference to the above subject, in continuation of the department's letter number 2/2-2023 ACD (12) dated 17.05.2024, you are informed that in all the schools (government and private) of the state summer vacation is declared from 28.05.2024 to 30.06.2024 All schools will remain closed during the said time period. Apart from this, all the teachers will also ensure to give holiday homework to the students today on 27.05.2024,” said an official notice.
The directorate informed that the schools will be reopened as usual from July 1 and urged the district heads to comply with the order in all the schools.
Recently, all government, government-aided and private schools in Gurugram have been ordered shut from May 27 to May 31 due to extreme heatwave. Summer vacations for the Gurugram schools will commence from June 1 to June 30 and classes will resume on July 1.
