Haryana government revises school timings for all classes starting from July 1

Haryana school summer vacation 2022 will end on June 30 and schools will function from 8 am to 2:30 pm from July 1.
NEW DELHI: Summer vacation in Haryana is coming to an end on June 30 and all schools will reopen from July 1. The state government has announced that school timings will be 8am - 2:30pm from Friday onwards. The timings will be the same for students and teachers, the government said in an official order.

“School timings will be from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM in Haryana from 1st July, 2022 after summer vacation,” the Department of Public Relations, Haryana said in a tweet.

Earlier, the directorate of school education revised the school timings of government and private schools in the state due to the heatwave condition prevalent in the state. As per an order from the DSE, the class timings were from 7 am to 12 pm for Classes 1 to 12. The order came into effect from Wednesday, May 4, 2022.
Before this, schools had been running from 8 am to 2:30pm since March 1. “The Haryana government has changed the school timings from 1st March 2022. Now schools will open from 8 am to 2:30 pm. In this regard, the Directorate of School Education has issued instructions to all District Education Officers and District Elementary Education Officers,” the PR department had said.

The Haryana government had previously changed school timings in the state from December 20, 2021 onwards. The classes were then scheduled from 10 am to 2 pm.
Schools were reopened in Haryana from February 10. Offline sessions for Classes 10, 11 and 12 already began in Haryana on February 1. Schools and colleges in Haryana were closed till January 26 due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases.
