NEW DELHI: The Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced new changes in the Haryana Civil Services Examination. The Haryana HCS and other Allied Services 2022 Preliminary exam is scheduled to be held on May 21, 2023.
In the cabinet meeting held today, the chief minister said the candidates will be given five options (A, B, C, D and E) for each question of the Haryana Civil Services Exam.
“If a candidate attempts any question, he/she should darken the appropriate circle 'A' 'B', 'C' or 'D' and if not attempting any question, he/she should darken the circle 'E' .” If any circle is not darkened, one fourth that is 0.25 marks will be deducted, he said.
As per the revised HCS exam pattern, any candidate who does not darken any one of the five circles in more than 10% of the questions will be disqualified. “The Cabinet today approved the amendment in Rule 11 (1) of the Haryana Civil Services (Executive Branch) Rules, 2008,” the official statement read.
HCS exam 2023 will be held in two sessions - morning and evening. The HCS time and venue of examination centers will be mentioned in the admit cards. Announcement for downloading of HCS admit card will be issued separately on the HPSC website, hpsc.gov.in and hpsconline.in.
