The CBSE Class 12 board exam will be for a total of 100 marks distributed among theory, practical, project, and internal assessment in varying ratios. For main subjects, the theory paper is conducted for 80 marks and practicals are held for 30 marks. The Class 12 board exam paper will have more competency-based questions and the number of constructed response questions will be reduced by 10%.
This year, the board issued the CBSE date sheet 2025 nearly 86 days before the exam to given students enough time for preparation. “The date sheet has been prepared by avoiding more than 40,000 subject combinations to ensure that no two subjects' examinations offered by a student fall on the same date. The time of the start of the examinations will be at 10.30 AM (IST),” the CBSE circular read.
