NEW DELHI : Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has commenced applications for male and female police constable positions. Eligible candidates can apply for the positions through HPPSC's official website, hppsc.hp.gov.in. The last date for recruitment registration is October 31, 2024.
The HPPSC recruitment drive aims to fill 1088 constable positions. As per the HPPSC notification, there are 708 posts for male candidates and 380 positions for female candidates. Applicants willing to register for the HPPSC constable recruitment exam must have a degree and 10+2 certificate from any recognised board in Himachal Pradesh.
The examination fee for male candidates of general, economic weaker section (EWS) (not included in BPL category), wards of freedom fighters (WFF), home guard of HP, and aspirants of other states is Rs 600.
The application fee for male applicants from Himachal Pradesh's SC, ST, OBC, and EWS categories (UR - BPL) must pay an application fee of Rs 150. Applicants will be able to pay online using a debit card, credit card, UPI, or any other online digital channel. Female candidates will be free from paying the exam fee as directed by the Himachal Pradesh Government's regulations.
HPPSC Selection Process 2024
The HPPSC selection process will include a physical test, written test, evaluation round, document verification round, and a medical checkup. The final merit list will include the written examination marks, PST height marks, and evaluation NCC certificate marks, based on the following parameters: 90-point written test, 6 points for height, and 4 points for NCC certificates.

The HPPSC constable recruitment will require the documents as follows.

NCC certificate (if candidate possesses such certificate)

Valid category certificate(s) in support of their eligibility, if any, viz, SC, ST, OBC, EWS, WFF, etc.

Service Certificate in case of HG candidates (home guards) issued by the commandant home guards.
