HTET 2018 Exam Dates Postponed; Check details here

New Delhi, October 27: Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH) has revised the exam dates of HTET 2018. The examination is now expected to be held on January 5 and 6, 2019. Earlier, the exam was scheduled to be conducted on December 22 and 23.

Haryana Teachers Eligibility Test will be conducted for three levels - 1, 2 and 3. The Level 1 (Primary Teacher) of HTET is conducted for candidates who want to teach from class 1 to 5, while Level 2 (Trained Graduate Teacher) is held for candidates who want to be teachers of class 6 to 8. Those who want to teach from class 9 to 12, have to appear for Level 3 or Post Graduate Teacher position exam.

The notification of HTET 2018 is expected to be released in November. Along with the notification, the application form dates and other relevant details will also be available online. To be eligible for HTET, candidates have to pass the examination and satisfy the eligibility requirements set by the authority. The details of the exam centre, timing and shift of HTET 2018 will be reflected on the admit card of the candidates.

HTET 2018 will be held in the pen and paper mode. The test will include 150 objective type questions at all the levels. For each correct answer 1 mark will be awarded to candidates. There is no negative marking for any wrong answer. Each level of the exam will be conducted for a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes.

As per an official notification released in October, the Board will use tools like Jammers, Aadhaar Based Biometric, Frisking, CCTV online Surveillance, Videography to make sure there are no issues related to cheating or otherwise during the exam.  

HTET is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates who want to teach at Elementary, Secondary and Senior Secondary schools recognised by the Department of School Education, Haryana. Candidates qualifying the entrance test by securing the minimum qualifying marks would be issued a HTET qualifying certificate. The same would be valid for five years.
