NEW DELHI: The Board of School Education Haryana Bhiwani (BSEH) has postponed the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2024. The exam was scheduled to be held on December 7 and December 8 for all three levels.

As per the official notice, the HTET 2024 exam will now be held at a later date, with the new schedule to be communicated once finalised. “The State Government agrees with your proposal to postpone the HTET Examination, 2024 to be held on 07.12.2024 (Saturday) and 08.12.2024 (Sunday) till further orders. Accordingly, the concerned may be informed,” the official notice read.

The HTET exam is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for primary teachers (PRT) for classes 1 to 5, trained graduate teachers (TGT) for classes 6 to 8, and postgraduate teachers (PGT) for higher classes.

HTET 2024: Eligibility criteria

Candidates who want to become a postgraduate teacher should have a Bachelor of Education (BEd) or equivalent degree with at least 50% marks. For TGT posts, candidates must hold a BEd degree along with a graduation degree in the subject they are applying for. For PRT posts, candidates must have passed the senior secondary class with at least 50% marks or must be appearing in the final year of the two-year DElEd course.

The minimum qualifying marks for all categories, except Scheduled Castes (SC) and differently-abled, physically challenged candidates, are set at 60%. For SC and differently-abled, physically challenged candidates, the minimum required percentage is 55%.SC and differently-abled, physically challenged candidates from other states are required to secure at least 60% to qualify for the HTET 2024.
