HTET 2025: Aadhaar not compulsory for Haryana TET registration; edit form on January 4 and 5

The Haryana Board of School Education (BSEH) has clarified that Aadhaar card is not mandatory for applying to the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2025. The registration window for HTET 2025 is open, and candidates can register for the exam till January 4, 2026, through the official website at htet.eapplynow.com or bseh.org.in.

“In this regard, Board Secretary Munish Sharma, IAS, stated that the Hon’ble Supreme Court has not made Aadhaar mandatory for examinations but has allowed it to be accepted as a valid form of identification,” the official notice said.

The board has also provided a two-day correction window on January 4 and 5, 2026, to update details such as photo, signature, thumb impression, level, subject selection (Level 2 and 3), category, disability status, and home state in the Haryana TET 2025 application form.

The HTET 2025 exam is scheduled to be conducted in pen-and-paper mode on January 17 and 18, 2026. The board has advised candidates to apply on time and to regularly check the official website www.bseh.org.in for the latest updates to ensure they do not miss any important notifications or instructions.

HTET 2025 application fee

The application fee for HTET 2025 varies by category and the number of levels applied for. SC and PH candidates of Haryana domicile will have to pay Rs 500 for one level, Rs 900 for two levels, and Rs 1,200 for three levels.

All other candidates of Haryana domicile will have to pay Rs 1,000 for one level, Rs 1,800 for two levels, and Rs 2,400 for three levels.

Non-Haryana domicile candidates, including SC and PH, are required to pay Rs 1,000, Rs 1,800, and Rs 2,400 for one, two, and three levels respectively.

HTET is conducted at three levels. Level 1 is for Primary Teacher Eligibility (Classes 1 to 5), Level 2 is for Trained Graduate Teacher Eligibility (Classes 6 to 8), and Level 3 is for Post Graduate Teacher Eligibility (Classes 9 to 12). Candidates should ensure they meet the eligibility criteria for the respective levels before applying.
