CASB STAR exam 2021: Students campaign on Twitter, #AirForce_Result_Do trends

NEW DELHI: The result of Central Airmen Selection Board (CASB) STAR exam 2021 for selection of airmen in the Indian Air Force (IAF) has been delayed which has resulted in agitation amongst students. Several students have started campaigning on social media and bombarded the Twitter with posts using #AirForce_Result_Do hashtag.

“Due to administrative reasons and an unprecedented situation owing to the Covid pandemic, conduct of enrollment of airmen for Intake 02/21 and declaration of result for STAR 01/2021 online examination are delayed. Candidates are advised to keep checking their email and CASB webportal regularly for latest updates (Updated as on 01 Oct 21),” CASB said on its official website.

Students on Twitter have demanded the IAF and Indian government to declare the result and enrollment of Indian Air Force group X, Y. Several posts have surfaced on Twitter with the #AirForce_Result_Do hashtag wherein students have tagged IAF and Defence ministry.

A Twitter user said: “#Airforce_Result_Do About 3 months has been passed of result the exam of which is conducted in July and about 2 years has been passed but enrollment didn't come. Sir we want justice for the enrollment and result. And this is not the solution @IAF_MCC @PMOIndia.”

Another Twitter user said: “This is extreme level of torture. Our exam was conducted smoothly in corona times but now when everything is alright . No result,No enrollment. Plz publish result and enrollment. #Airforce_Result_Do #enrollmentlistpublishkaro @DefenceMinIndia @IAF_MCC.”

“Student's are waiting for air force X &Ygroup results, requesting you to either declare results .It’s uncertainty for the students that they will prepare for next intake aur not because age criteria is running out. @IAF_MCC @DefenceMinIndia #Airforce_Result_Do,” a student on Twitter said.

Another student said on Twitter: “#airforce_result_do Afcat exam was conducted by CDAC in September & result was published within 18 days BUT. Airforce group x/y was in July and there is still no response from CASB & Airforce #Airforce_Result_Do #Airforce_Enrollment_Publish_Karo @IAF_MCC @DefenceMinIndia.”

A student demanding enrollment said: “#Airforce_Result_Do Sir, Almost 90% of the candidates belong to a middle class family or below than that and we want to serve our nation as well as want to help our parents.And time is the most valuable thing for us .So don't delay the result and enrollment. @IAF_MCC”

The CASB conducts the Selection Test for Airmen Recruitment (STAR) exam to recruit airmen in the Indian Air Force. This year, the air force exam for X Y group was conducted in July.
