IAT 2024 registration closes today; fee, exam pattern

NEW DELHI: Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) will close the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2024 registration today, May 13. Interested and eligible applicant can fill the IAT 2024 application form by visiting the official website, iiseradmission.in.

The IAT 2024 results will determine admission eligibility for the BS-MS (dual degree) and BS degree programs spanning five and four years respectively at IISER Berhampur, IISER Bhopal, IISER Kolkata, IISER Mohali, IISER Pune, IISER Thiruvananthapuram, and IISER Tirupati.

Candidates will have a chance to edit their already submitted IAT 2024 application forms. The IAT 2024 application correction facility will be available from May 16 and 17. The IAT 2024 admit card will be issued on June 1. The IAT 2024 exam is scheduled to be held on June 9.

IAT 2024: Application fee

The application fee for the IISER entrance exam 2024 varies depending on the category of the candidate. The IAT 2024 application fee is Rs 2,000 for General, Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) applicants, whereas for persons with disabilities, registered Kashmiri migrants, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe candidates the fee is Rs 1,000 and USD 100 for foreign nationals.

IAT 2024 exam pattern

The IAT 2024 will be held in a a computer-based test conducted across various centers in India. It will consist of 60 questions, with 15 questions in each subject area: biology, chemistry, mathematics, and physics. All questions will be multiple-choice, with only one correct answer per question. The duration of the exam will be three hours. Candidates will earn four marks for each correct answer but will receive a negative mark of one for incorrect answers. The IAT 2024 exam carries a total of 240 marks.
