IBPS PO 2018: Notification released, registration to begin from August 14; check procedure to fill application

New Delhi, August 9: Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the notification of IBPS Probationary Officers (PO) 2018 on August 9. Along with the release of the notification, the exam authority has also declared the important dates and other relevant information about the exam. As per the official announcement, IBPS PO application form 2018 will be available in online mode from August 14. Aspiring candidates can fill the application form till September 4.

It must be noted that any corrections or modification in the application form can also be made during this period only - from August 14 to September 4. IBPS PO 2018 for pre-exam training will be held from October 1 to 7. The prelims exam will be conducted on October 13, 14, 20 and 21, while the mains exam of IBPS PO 2018 will be held on November 18. It must be noted that the prelims exam will be held on 4 days, while the mains exam will be conducted just on a single day.

Though the exam authority has announced the exam dates and the dates for registration, however, no other dates of admit card or result have been announced yet. Rest of the dates about the admit card and result will be declared in due course.

The prelims exam of IBPS PO 2018 will have 100 questions for 100 marks, from English (30), Quantitative Aptitude (35) and Reasoning Ability (35). Each section has a time limited of 20 minutes. Candidates qualifying in each of the sections of prelims and securing the minimum qualifying cut off, would be able to take the mains exam, as per the limit of the candidates to be filtered by the exam authority.

IBPS PO 2018 mains exam will have 155 questions for 200 marks from 4 sections plus a descriptive test. The four sections are Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness, English Language and Data Analysis & Interpretation. There is no sectional timings for attempting the exam in mains, but the paper has to be completed in 3 hours. The descriptive English test of letter and essay writing will have 2 questions for 25 marks. These 2 questions have to be answered in 30 minutes.

IBPS PO is held for the recruitment of Probationary Officers and Management Trainees in the participating organisations.
