NEW DELHI: ICFAI Business School will commence the IBS Aptitude Test (IBSAT 2024) tomorrow for all candidates who have registered to appear for the remote-proctored exam. The IBSAT exam is a gateway exam for admission to MBA, PGPM programmes at all nine IBS campuses.

Candidates who applied for IBSAT remote-proctored test, scheduled to be held on December 28 and 29, will be able to attempt the exam from their home. The test is designed to assess candidates on key areas crucial for success in management education,” the B-school said.

According to the IBSAT exam pattern, the question paper will have four sections namely verbal ability (VA), quantitative aptitude (QA), data adequacy and data interpretation (DA/ DI), and reading comprehension (RC).

The B-school said that the verbal ability section will test candidates’ English language proficiency, including vocabulary, grammar, and reading comprehension and quantitative aptitude will evaluate mathematical and problem-solving skills, covering arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and data interpretation.

The data interpretation section will have questions to assess analytical reasoning based on data sets, whereas reading comprehension will test the applicant’s ability to understand and analyse written passages.

In total, the IBSAT exam 2024 will have 140 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Candidates will be given 2 hours, ie. 120 minutes, to complete the exam. Wrong answers will not fetch negative marks, as per the marking scheme. The institute will offer the top 500 students will be eligible for Rs 2 lakh scholarship.

IBSAT admission criteria

After the completion of IBSAT test, the B-school will conduct selection briefings across 70 locations in India from January 10 to 19. IBS directors, alumni, and senior faculty will interact with the students and their parents during the selection briefing to make an informed decision while choosing the campuses.

“Qualified candidates will proceed to the Selection Process, scheduled from February 15–24, 2025, at IBS Hyderabad,” it said. Campus allotments will be done based on their performance in micro-presentation, personal interview, and graduation marks.

During the micro-presentation, candidates are required to select a number between 1 and 100, each corresponding to a pre-assigned topic. After choosing a topic, they will be given 1 minute to prepare and deliver a 3-minute presentation.
